[Ever since New Years, he's taken to trying to stay indoors when he can, venturing out only when necessary. Since the arrival of a certain short blond alchemist's parents, he's been trying to keep an even lower profile... because it's cold outside, and automail is metal, and getting punched by a cold metal fist is not high on his list of priorities.

After all, what if it was like getting your tongue stuck to an ice cube? What if he wound up stuck to Edward's arm? And of course, this opens up a whole new can of worms that he doesn't even want to think about because he isn't the one with the metal limbs...

But even more pressing is the fact that he's noticed something here and there on the floor of his apartment: feathers. His feathers. Not a lot, but definitely not just one or two. This means the question must be asked, and so he turns to the journal and its video function.]

[It’s not really a far walk from Community Building 7 to the clinic, though the cold makes it feel that much longer. The wool of his uniform and his black overcoat are the closest he has to winter attire, but even they aren’t the greatest.

The clinic is definitely a welcome change, and he pauses inside try and rub some warmth back into his fingers before approaching the first person he sees. It'll be nice to get rid of the headache.

Good afternoon. I'm Doctor Mizuno. From the journal pictures, you must be my new patient. [She has a small smile with the words, a faint humor born of a good nature.]

I'm pleased to meet you face to face.

[Her smile is met with one of his own and a nod of acknowledgment.] Roy Mustang. It's a pleasure... though the circumstances could have stood to be a little better.

[But at least she can fix that, right?]

[She'll do as much as she can, at least.]

I'm sorry for the circumstances as well. Please come in.

[Medical facilities have never been his best friend -he usually spends more time trying to get out than not- but when the one inviting you is pleasant (and female), it's kind of hard to resist.]

I really appreciate your taking time out of your schedule for this, though...

It's no trouble at all; this is my job here. [And in return, it means she's relied on, needed.]

You look awfully young to be in the medical field. I'm impressed. [He knows well what it's like to be among the younger crowd one's profession.

And this is where he gets a little wary on things. Being sick, he can handle. Being stuck in a hospital, he can't.]

...this won't require staying for longer than the span of a day, is it?

[She brushes off the compliment to herself by downplaying it.] I studied hard; and doctors were needed here.

As long as there are no other adverse symptoms, it should only take a short while. [There isn't much she can do beyond suggesting vitamins and rest, if he's just exhausted himself or even if he's just become ill; of course, if it takes a turn for the worse or lasts too long, she'll want to see him again.]
