[Ever since New Years, he's taken to trying to stay indoors when he can, venturing out only when necessary. Since the arrival of a certain short blond alchemist's parents, he's been trying to keep an even lower profile... because it's cold outside, and automail is metal, and getting punched by a cold metal fist is not high on his list of priorities.

After all, what if it was like getting your tongue stuck to an ice cube? What if he wound up stuck to Edward's arm? And of course, this opens up a whole new can of worms that he doesn't even want to think about because he isn't the one with the metal limbs...

But even more pressing is the fact that he's noticed something here and there on the floor of his apartment: feathers. His feathers. Not a lot, but definitely not just one or two. This means the question must be asked, and so he turns to the journal and its video function.]

Perhaps someone else will be able to answer this, but is this [A pause as he turns the journal to point at the feathers on the floor] normal?

[video] if he flirts again, I will laugh

[. . . .well.

[Hi, colonel. Guess who noticed your flirting.]

Normal for lonely perverted 30-year-olds, maybe.

[Much as he hates his dad he would hate you as one EVEN MORE 8D]

[yeah that doesn't look so good, Roy. Estelle is concerned even though she doesn't know you.]

...I don't believe so. Are you feeling all right?
selphie_t: (Ummmm... right.)

That's not surprising... the feathers are connected to our health.

[as for the question] Well, losing a few is normal, but not molting. The last time we started losing feathers in large quantities, it was village-wide and everyone became very ill.

Yes, they're just molting lightly. Perfectly normal. You might be be feeling weak for a little while, but that will pass.

[Doesn't happen often, but it happens. Be a doctor in Luceti long enough and you come across it.]

If the shedding of feathers gets any heavier, it would probably be a good idea to stop in at one of the clinics, though.

How could it not be intentional!? She said her name right away! It's not like you didn't know!

[HE IS SO NOT LETTING THIS GO]

Like those options are any better!?

[Not even dignifying the third option with a response. Seriously, Mustang? Seriously? You are not boning his relatives!]

No, not often at all. I think it's only happened to me... twice?

[He wants more than a troubleshooting guide to them... he wants a full clinical textbook. Damn things - the lack of knowledge makes it so difficult to treat.]

They could be trying to tell you something.
