[It’s the sudden rush of cold and wet that greet Roy Mustang upon arrival, being dropped rather unceremoniously into the junction of rivers. Sputtering, coughing, sore, and forcing himself to wade through the water to the shoreline, he’s more than a little confused at finding that not only is he devoid of injuries, he’s also been stripped of his uniform, but at least someone was kind enough to leave an open journal lying along the river?
It's like a bad consolation prize: we stole your stuff, so have a journal in which to write about it!
That doesn't stop him from shooting a glare toward the sky he just dropped out of, though.]
Okay, I get it! "Useless when wet". Was that really necessary?
[Shedding water everywhere, he takes a moment to look around, attempting to get his bearings.]
Alright, I was shoved through their little portal into... what looks like the middle of some town that is definitely not any place I've ever seen. Now the question is, how do I get back? And what happened to my uniform?

And I came from the midst of it. [Which means FullMetal doesn't know about everything that went down in the tunnels with Envy. Thank whatever for that small favor. Maybe...]
I'm glad to hear they're alright, at the very least. It's strange to think of her being so old already...
[Voice]
There's... something else you should know. [Really, it's all he can do not to watch Roy like a hawk to see if he freaks out at anything. He's never seen the colonel really lose his cool.] The dead get brought to life here.
[In other words, these guys succeeded where alchemy failed.]
[Voice]
[On one hand, there's a chance he'll get to see Hughes again. On the other hand... homunculi. ]

He takes a deep breath and mentally files all of the tidbits away for later reference.]
Alright... Others have given me a brief overview on other aspects of this place, but there's one that I'm still not entirely clear on, and I trust you not to give a stupid answer. [Because the idea of walking into an unoccupied room and proclaiming it as one's own is still a little foreign to him] How does one go about finding suitable lodgings?
[Voice]
You could start at the Welcome Center- it's one of the shops in the main plaza. I think there's a list of places to live, though I don't know how up-to-date it is. Either that or just go find an empty apartment and take it, they're not locked or anything.
[Voice]
You mean to tell me they weren't joking? You can literally just walk up and proclaim an unoccupied area as your own? What is wrong with this place?
[Voice]
There's plenty wrong with Luceti, but that's definitely not the worst of it.
[Voice]
Of course not. That would have been far too easy.
[Voice]
Has anyone given you the guide yet? That should give you way more details, and it'd be faster than just asking a bunch of questions.
[Voice]
...but maybe so long as it doesn't come with paperwork, it might not be that bad.]
Luceti has a manual?
[Voice]
Tap that and turn the page on the journal, it should show up there. It's pretty detailed, at least.
[Voice]
There's a bar, a library, and a place to get clothing that isn't white. I think I'll be set for a little while.
[Voice]
[He'll probably enjoy the vacation and slack off. Damn colonel 8|]
If you find your pocketwatch, let me know. [So he can be mad and cranky about it for a week or something.]
[Voice]
[Hey, slacking off is an art form!]
Why is that? [He'll be on the lookout for it, though, since that's kind of important. Well, it'll at least help him tell the time.]
[Voice]
[And he's still somewhat mortified by the idea of someone else finding it. Even if the date wouldn't mean anything to anyone but those who knew him from Amestris, it's... yeah. Personal.]
[Voice]
Assuming that it's no longer attached to my jacket, that is.
[Voice]
[Voice]
[Though, there is a way he'd know whose watch he was looking at if he were to find one.]
My own is attached to the cording on my uniform, so if it's missing, it would be easily identifiable as it doesn't have a chain.
[Voice]
[And hopefully he won't get all nosy the way Winry did. He's not sure if Roy even knows the significance of the date, but he'd rather not find out.]
So where are you gonna stay?
[Voice]
[Voice]
[Not that it should be easy- stronger people than either of them have been trapped here for years. It's going to take a lot more thought.]
